I am a Sydney-based musicologist and critic and have been writing (and am still writing) reviews for the Sydney Morning Herald for about 40 years. I previously worked at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and the University of Sydney and am currently an Honorary Associate Professor at the Conservatorium. My current research is on Beethoven’s sketches for his last five string quartets.
